In addition to CPR, First Aid and AED trainings, all Smithfield Y staff are required to attend a 4-hour training on Child Abuse Prevention and Detection. Throughout this training staff will learn the 5 most common forms of child abuse/neglect and how to recognize signs of abuse.

Finally, all Smithfield Y Staff Members complete between 10 and 15 additional hours of camp staff training given by the Camp Director, Sports Coordinator and Senior Program Director.
